Wentzcovitch Named PIFI Distinguished Scientist by the Chinese Academy of Sciences
Professor Renata Wentzcovitch has been named a PIFI Distinguished Scientist by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the highest senior designation within the CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative. The honor recognizes her longstanding contributions to computational mineral physics and her extensive record of scientific exchange, collaboration, and mentorship in China.
Over the years, numerous former students and postdoctoral researchers from her group have gone on to hold prominent scientific positions at Chinese universities and research institutions. She continues to collaborate with several of these former group members, particularly at Xiamen University, on fundamental research in mineral physics and materials under extreme conditions.
