Spiegelman Receives Society of Columbia Graduates' Great Teacher Award

Professor Marc Spiegelman is the recipient of the Society of Columbia Graduates' Great Teacher Award in Columbia College for the 2022/2023 academic year. He will receive the award during the Great Teacher Award Event held during the Columbia Reunion Weekend on Saturday June 3rd.

Marc Spiegelman is the Arthur D. Storke Memorial Professor of Earth & Environmental Sciences, a Professor of Applied Physics & Applied Mathematics, and Chair of the Department of Applied Physics & Applied Mathematics at Columbia Engineering. He was named a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) in 2022 and was the recipient of the Columbia Engineering Alumni Association's 2020 Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award, the 2004 Edward and Carol Kim Award for Faculty Involvement from Columbia Engineering, and the DEES Outstanding Teaching Award in 1998 and 2002.
